13/09/2013 1+1=1 Pierluigi Billone Bass Clarinet Duo at BIFEM

1+1=1, by Pierluigi Billone, is a 75 minute work for two bass clarinets written in 2006. It is a magical piece often exploring the fragile, breathy, harmonic possibilities of the bass clarinet and creating incredible beating effects using very close pitches between the two players who perform from opposite sides of the hall. The event will be hosted by the Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music, and exciting new festival well worth the trip to the country!
