Sonic Labyrinth

Music Might Happen – a Sonic Labyrinth is a new work in development by Justin Marshall and Aviva Endean that seeks to create an interactive journey through sound for it’s young participants. Each sonic turn, presents the audience with new ways to create unusual experiences with sound, including bone conduction, kinetic sound sculptures, reverberant spaces, ear-bending objects, and special listening devices that enable you to hear sounds on the edge of perception. The Sonic Labyrinth seeks to create an interactive journey that will delve into new territory in the realm of experimental sonic experiences for children. The journey will have opportunities for solitary, intimate and collective sound-making, and reflects on the age-old uses of the labyrinth for problem solving, accessing creativity, transformation, celebration and dealing with solace and grief. It is a physical composition that invites deep listening and personal discovery.
