Join our New Ideas Lab where a sound capsule will be buried near ArtPlay and rediscovered by the kids of tomorrow.Artists: Justin Marshall and Aviva EndeanArtPlay’s New Ideas Lab supports artists and children to work together to develop new arts experiences.Come along to the first stage of the project to dream up what you would like to bury in the capsule. We will explore the sounds of the site, play listening games and imagine sounds of the future. The capsule could include location-based recordings, scores and charts based on our acoustic ecology, your voices and stories, or small sounding objects. Kids in the future will be able to dig it up and hear the world from the perspective of children now and understand how the sound of this place has changed. What sounds can you imagine might be different in 150 years? Please bring a nut-free snack and drink.Be prepared to go exploring outside. Please bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.
